Overview
Drakensberg Dream is a four-bedroom self-catering cottage for ten on a 45-hectare estate in the Central Drakensberg, looking across the Cathkin Valley to Cathkin Peak and Champagne Castle.
The open-plan kitchen has a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer, and the lounge and dining area has a fireplace and a TV. There are two terraces, one with a braai, and a large carport. The cottage runs off the grid on solar power.
Why we love it
We love the walks right from the door: a guided trail on the estate passes two San rock art sites and four waterfalls, and there are dams for bass fishing and eland in the gardens.
